Expressing shock and anger at the assault of a Delhi University student on Sunday morning, teachers and students on Monday condemned the incident and demanded better safety measures on the campus.
In a statement, the Delhi university Teachers association (DUTA) said: Delhi beginning the capital, students from all states come here to pursue higher education and research for jobs. These incidents are increasing the insecurity and movement of female students in the city. The police should nab the culprits immediately.
The DUTA also demanded that security be provided to students be provided to students in both the north and south campuses and the adjoining areas
