DU set to hike exam fee

DU students will pay more as examination fee form the next academic year. The University has increased fees by 65 % to 100% cent in a new revised system.

The revision is across the board for exam and enrolment fees, fees for setting papers, for supervision and invigilation during exams (borne by the university).

All undergraduate students will have to pay Rest 50 per paper instead of Rest 25. This includes papers of certificate and diploma courses. The PG exam fee will be Rest 75 per paper. Students of professional courses will have to pay Rest 100 per paper and those enrolled in self financing courses Rest 150 per Paper .The practical exam fees will be up to Rest 100 per exam.

Fees will be reviewed every three years. Correspondence students who live abroad will pay much more from the next session. DU exam centres are being set up in Nepal, Srilanka, Bangladesh, Maldives, Bhutan and Pakisthan.Students here will have to pay Rs 1,000 as exam fees instead of Rest 500. For students in other countries the fees for B.A (Pass)B/com9pass) will be $250 instead of $110. For BA (honours), B.com (honours)/PG courses, the new fee will be $300 instead of the earlier $ 140
