URDU schools suffer due to lack of books

A QUESTION on the state of URDU language in Bihar led to an attack on the ministry of Human resources Development with members of the Opment with members of the Rajya Sabha charging that Urdu Schools students were going without books.Responding to a query from Motiur Rahman on the steps being taken to promote Urdu in Bihar, Minister of state for HRD MAA Fatmi faced a tough time as the MPS turned to the Problems being faced by students of Urdu Schools. Shahid Siddiqui Of the Samajwadi Party said the NCERT had not published the books in Urdu because of which students were facing a tough time in the examination .Rashid Alvi of congress supported him. Countering the charge, Mr Fatmi said the NCERT had undertaken the publication work in a big way for the current year. The MPs pointed to the high number of under print books to back their charge.
