The womens bastion that is Lady Shri Ram College is all set to make an exception. For the first time in its 50 years, men first time in its 50 years, men may enter its corridor, as students of conflict Transformation and peace building, nevertheless.
The course, a two year postgraduate diploma programme, is set to start from the 2005-06 academic year. The college has already received grant of Rs 22 lakh form university Grants Commission (UGC) for the course, under the commissions Innovative Programmes for teaching and research in emerging and Inter- Disciplinary Areas scheme.
LSR is among less than 20 colleges across the country to be chosen form among 600 applicants who had approached UGC with proposals for new Programmes.
