There are may finally be some relief for students hoping to get out of the marks rut.
A group of over 100 Schools is planning to implement the grading system till class IX. Form this academic year onwards.
The National progressive Schools Conference (NPSC), prominent private schools of Delhi as members, has come up with a plan to have a grading system in place, starting this year.
According to Jyoti Bose, Chairperson, NPSC: All our members have decided to adopt the grading system before 2006, when CBSE plans to make it mandatory. Bose is also the principal of spring dales School, Dhaula Kuan.
An evaluation committee has been set up to go through presentations made by schools that have already employed a grading system. Grading, incidentally, is a proposal that CBSE had floated last year for classes till the class IX, while many schools put the system in place for the primary sections, few may have implemented it till class IX
