Disabled educates in Special Action Plan

Very soon in the national education system disable will get a 3% of reservation. The HRD ministry is going to set up an agenda for the disable persons. Ministry has prepared a comprehensive action plan to provide education to children and youth with disabilities in mainstream educational settings.
The plan categorized into three like from age group of 0-6, 6-14 and 14-21. This plan will cater the disabilities under Person with Disabilities Act, 1995 and the National Trust Act 1999.Prepared against the back drop of poor educational standards of the disabled population, the action plan seeks to make four major interventions. The HRD ministry will be primary part and other ministries will help in different activities.
The various major steps would be to ensure enrolment and retention of all children with the disabilities in the mainstream education system. To review implementation of existing programmes and identify the factors leads to success or failure. The other steps will be to identifying need based education system for disabled. The need based education will be provided in mainstream education centers. To achieve this, the education plan talks of developments of national norms for inclusive education and special education teachers to enable them to work with the children with disability in an inclusive education system. The third one is to provide higher and vocational education to disabilities.
The last and major step of the Ministry is to provide facilities to the researchers on how to encourage disable student for studying.
