The government has decided that every single girl child of a family would be given eligible for free education from class IV to class XII from the current financial year. It has been decided that all schools seeking affiliation to central board of secondary Education would have to give total fee waiver for every girl who is a single child of her parents.
The fee waiver should be available from class IV to Class XII. Similarly if there were two girls in the family both would be entitled to a concession in fees up to 50 per cent. The UGC would also make similar provision as a condition of affiliation and approval to all their programmes and courses. The UGC would also launch graduate and post graduate scholarship schemes for the single girl child
