Cricket lovers will now take breath easily from chucking controversies because now chucking is on checking by two IIT Madras students who have invented chucking detecting software.
The two students namely AV Barun & Arun Manohar said they have developed software that can detect the flex action of a bowler. They named this software ‘Xiva’. They said this software can alerts umpire or match referee, when a bowler bends or chucks his elbow at an angle greater than 15 degree. They developed the idea with experiment of image processing.
