» News > Education > Good at School Always Push for Better Performance: IIT Study
Recognition always comes through performance not through entrance. It is a finding of IIT taskforce. The study of taskforce said that high rank in JEE does not mean high performance in B.Tech programmes The study also reveals that students who do well in their class X & XI exam are more likely do well in IITs.
The taskforce of IIT analysed various factors like the correlation between the performances of students in the schools and their performance in IITs. They finally found the chances of good student in school doing well in B.Tech at IIT are almost 100 percent. The team accessed that because of the toughness of JEE the students are more dependent on coaching classes, on the way they neglected their school studies. The finding said due to this the standards of IITs are gradually eroded. So from the next year any one who gets 60 or above will directly eligible for IIT’S B. Tech programme.
