In a glittering ceremony at the Rashtrapati Bhawan President Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam awarded Chandrika Prasad Srivastav with the prestigious Lal Bahadur Shastri National Award. The function was also attended by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, UPA Chair Person Sonia Gandhi, Home Minister Shivraj Patil & former Union Minister Anil Shastri.
Chandrika Prasad Srivastav (IAS Retd.) was felicitated for his contribution in the filed of maritime exploration and excellence in public administration, Academics and Management. The Award honors each year an individual residing in India or abroad, who is an exceptionally outstanding and distinguished business leader, management practitioner, educator or institution builder for his/her sustained individual contributions and achievements of high professional order and excellence.
