AMU will Challenge HC Verdict

Filed under:

Disappointed with Allahabad High Court`s verdict Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) is all set to challenge the order which deprived the status of university as a minority institution.
Vice-Chancellor Naseem Ahmed, who expressed his disappointment and shock, gave enough hints about approaching a higher court to challenge the order of the Allahabad High Court. He said the university would only send its opinion only after going through the whole document. Saying that he had full faith in the Indian judiciary, Mr. Ahmed said there were options before the university of either appealing to the division bench of the High Court or going to the Supreme Court of India.
