Global finance service giant the Citigroup has recently launched a financial literacy centre in Mumbai. Chief Executive Officer of the Citigroup, Charles Prince, on his first visit to India in October 14 dedicated this centre for financial literacy to the Indian School of Microfinance for Women (ISMW), Ahmedabad.
The school is a partnership between microfinance pioneers, SEWA Bank, Friends of Womens World Banking and Coady International Institute. The centre will provide training for both CEOs of grassroots microfinance institutions & professional from the industry. The course of the centre will cover the financial education such as needs assessment, curriculum development, campaign execution and evaluation.
