Amity Institute of Disaster Management has started a programme on disaster management of three months’ duration from April 23, 2007 – July 13, 2007. The programme, sponsored Member of National Disaster Management Authority, recently spoke on the topic The Role of Medical Services in Disaster Management’.
The Amity Law School (ALS), New Delhi in association with the Delhi High Court Bar Association is organizing the 4th Amity National Moot Court Competition at the ALS Campus from March 4-6, 2005. Students from twelve reputed law schools from all over the country are participating in the competition. Some of the competing colleges include: Symbiosis Societys Law College- Pune; Campus Law Centre- Delhi University; BACL- Nagpur; Government Law College- Mumbai; Dr. Ambedkar Government Law College- Chennai; ILS- Pune; Army Law Institute- Mohali and the School of Law & Legal Studies- GGSIPU.
The moot court problem for the 4th Amity National Moot Court Competition is based on Law of Contract/ Property. There will be three rounds comprising the Preliminary rounds, the Semi- Finals and the Finals. The inaugural function of the competition was presided over by Honble Justice K.G. University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) has accepted Amity International School, Noida, as a Cambridge International Centre. The school may now offer CIEs world renowned Cambridge IGCSE, A and AS level qualifications. The announcement was made at a CIE orientation meeting for parents, held at the school, where teachers and representatives from CIE gave an overview of the Cambridge International Curriculum. CIE offers high levels of support to its teachers through professional development courses and endorsed textbooks. Apart from offering school curriculum,Cambridge also offers development courses for teachers and trainers, The Cambridge International Certificate and Diploma for teachers and trainers are much sought after qualifications in India and other parts of the world.

The Centre of International Business, Amity Business School (ABS), Noida hosted its 7th International Business Horizon INBUSH 2005- a three day (Feb. 22-24, 2005) business summit at the Amity Campus. The summit lays down a platform where captains from companies of repute, bureaucrats and renowned politicians come together and present their views on the changing dynamics of the business environment.
INBUSH was inaugurated by Shri Priya Ranjan Das Munshi, Honble Union Minister for Water Resources. The Guest of Honour for the occasion was Shri Jagdish Tytler, Honble Minister of State for Overseas Indian Affairs.
Amity is all set to launch a campus in Lucknow. It is a remarkable campus which will be operational by August 2004. To mark the occasion, Amity is organizing a Career Fest on Saturday, May 25, 2004. At Amity School of Hospitality, a study tour was planned for the students to visit AAHAR on 12th March 2005 to have an exposure of latest happening in the field of Hospitality. AAHAR is an international event being organized at Pragati Maiden every year. It is about latest trends and events including latest equipment, food trends in the area of Hospitality and Tourism. Amity starts certificate course
Amity University has launched a Certificate Course in Child Protection and Juvenile Justice. Amity Institute of Behavioural Health and Allied Sciences and the Prayas Institute of Juvenile Justice have together set up the Amity Child Protection Centre to offer practical and theoretical training in child protection for government and nongovernment officers. The centre has also started a three-month certificate course on Child Protection and Juvenile Justice.

A research conducted by the CIB indicates that India can increase its GDP to at least 11% per annum, if we concentrate on our core competencies and through these competencies penetrate into the international markets. Amity School of Insurance and Actuarial Science (ASIAS) has forged an alliance with the Insurance Institute of India for professional education in the discipline. Through this arrangement, students who successfully pursue the MBA (Insurance) and PG Diploma in Insurance Management (PGDIM) will automatically qualify for Associate level accreditation of the Insurance Institute of India subject to such student passing one paper and out of the modules specified for fellowship.

The exclusive auction had cricket accessories from Master Blaster Tendulkars cricket gear. The Maestros personally autographed bat and helmet from Australian cricket tour, Tendulkars 187 numbered cap from the Pakistan tour were the few very popular items in the Auction list, getting the maximum contribution for the noble cause of underprivileged and marginalized sections of society.
