BITSAT 2010 | Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test
BITSAT is an entrance exam for admission to various institutes of Birla Institute of Technology and Science for bachelor engineering programmes in their Pilani, Hyderabad and Goa campus. BITS institutes are one of the most prestigious institutes for engineering education in India therefore a very large number of candidates apply for BITSAT every year.
The Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani is an all-India Institute for higher education. BITS have provided the highest quality technical education to students from all over India admitted on the basis of merit. Its graduates may be found throughout the world in all areas of engineering, science and commerce. BITS symbolize the maturing of Indian technical ability and “can-do” entrepreneurial spirit, especially as derived from the private sector. The BITS is located in the Vidya Vihar campus adjacent to the town of Pilani in Rajasthan.
BITSAT 2010 Application Forms
One has to apply online for BITSAT on their website. After filling the necessary details in the online form a candidate has to take its print out and send it to BITS Pilani along with required documents and demand draft.
BITSAT Important Dates
Starting date to apply for BITSAT: 3rd week of December, 2009
Last date for receipt of completed application form: January end, 2010
Reservation of test dates by candidates: February 3rd week-March 2nd week, 2010
Online tests: May 2nd week-June 2nd week, 2010
Eligibility for BITSAT :
The candidate should have 12th passed with 80% marks in any recognized Board, Also a candidate should score a minimum of 60% marks in each of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
OR
Only those candidates who have passed 12th in 2009 or are appearing in 2010 are eligible to appear for BITSAT.
Course offered by BITSAT :
B.E. (Hons.)
BITSAT Pattern of examination:
There will be 150 objective questions with each having four options. For a correct answer a candidate gets 3 marks and for an incorrect answer 1 mark is deducted. The distribution of 150 questions is as followed:
Physics-40
Chemistry-40
English Proficiency-15
Logical Reasoning-10
Mathematics-45
If a candidate completes all 150 questions before 3 hours he/she can choose to go for 12 extra questions which will be from Physics, Chemistry and Mathis. The syllabus of BITSAT is from NCERT 11th and 12th syllabus.

combining both years.For this the eligible % is for both years or for just 12th class results?
In PCM I am getting 83.3 in both years combined but 79.6 alone in 2nd year.

The Entrance Examination fee for candidates belonging to general category including OBC is Rs. 220/- for 1 field of study, Rs. 430/- for 2 fields of study and Rs. 600/- for 3 fields of study. The Application form also can be obtained by Sent DD of Rs.750/- drawn in favour of “VIT University”, payable at Vellore,
Foreign/NRI Students
Seats can be reserved by payment of an advance of 2,000 USD for B.Tech Courses, 1,000 USD for all other Courses.
This advance will be adjusted while paying the first year fees. The Demand Draft to be drawn in favour of “Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore” has to be sent to the address along with a letter.

CEED 2010 Common Entrance Examination for Design
Common Entrance Examination for Design IIT CEED 2010 Test
Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (IIT, Bombay) conducts CEED (Common Entrance Examination for Design) for admission in admission to Post Graduate M.Des. programmes at the Industrial Design Centre (IIT Bombay), Instrument Design and Development Centre (IIT Delhi), Centre for Product Design and Manufacturing (IISc Bangalore) and Design Programme (IIT Kanpur). For IIT Kanpur GATE is also a qualifying examination. Candidates also have to fulfill other requirements such as tests & interviews of the respective institutions for admission.

Passed B.F.A. (4 year professional program, after 10+2)
