Application forms for NERIST entrance exam

The Directorate of Information Technology and Technical Education has informed that the application forms for the NERIST, Nirjuli, Itanagar in Arunachal Pradesh, entrance examination for admission to the Base Module-NE-1, Diploma Module-NEE-II and Degree Module NEE-III, for 2009 session are being issued in its office, below New Secretariat, Kohima, on payment of Rs.100 per form.

Informing this in a press note, Imjung M Panger, Director, added that the intending candidate may collect the prescribed form with information brochure on or before January 30 next, during office hours. The last date for submission of form at NERIST, Nirjuli, Arunachal Pradesh, has been set on or before February 6 next. The date of entrance examination has been fixed on April 25 next for NEE-II and II and April 26 next for NEE-I.

Rochester to hold police entrance exam

The Rochester Police Department, in conjunction with Law Enforcement Dimensions, will hold an entrance exam for the Rochester Police Department on Jan. 24, Chief Paul Magee said in a statement.

The department is looking to fill both full- and part-time positions.
The Rochester Police Department employs 10 full-time officers and five part-time officers to serve a population of approximately 5,400 residents.

Often, officers handle many of their own cases from start to finish, giving officers experience in participating in investigations, writing and serving warrants and making arrests.

Officers also have the opportunity to participate in specialized units, such as bike patrol, ATV patrol, dive team, rapid response team and search and rescue team.

The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) is conducted each year for admission to various courses in the field of Engineering /Architecture/ Technology / Medical / Dental / Veterinary and Pharmacy. Eligibility criteria:
1. The candidate must be of Indian nationality.
