The regulatory body is the Bar Council of India which governs the whole process of enrollment with Bar Council and post enrollment. I have posted the names of various law examinations in my knowledge but i will certainly check for more exams and edit the post as soon as i find them

Amity School of Fine Arts and Amity School of Fashion Technology recently organised their fourth annual three-day art exhibition - Srijan. The exhibition was inaugurated by Lokesh Chandra, director, International Academy of Indian Culture, Ashok K Chauhan, founder president, Amity Universe, and Divya Chauhan, chairperson, Amity School of Fine Arts. Chandra lauded the efforts of the students, saying: We need to understand what Srijan means and what it implies; it is an activity personal in nature and requires a great deal of thinking.

Most talented players were chosen of participants from 461 teams for the recent 7-day special cricket coaching camp

Twenty of the most talented players were chosen out of 9,220 participants from across 461 teams for the recent seven-day special cricket coaching camp. The camp was held in Mumbai, at MCA Ground, Kandivli from April 14-21. At the end of the camp, five Ratnas were identified and rewarded cash prizes of Rs 20,000 each for their performance. The camp was part of the Boost Cricket Cup, organised by Procam and Boost, and is a national under-17 Inter-school cricket tournament which runs under the aegis of respective State Cricket Associations which are directly affiliated to the BCCI.

The Satya Bharti School Programme was recently launched in Punjab at Ladhowal village, by Parkash Singh Badal, chief minister of Punjab. Also present on the occasion was Rakesh Bharti Mittal, vice-chairman, Bharti Enterprises. Under the programme, Bharti Foundation,the philanthropic arm of Bharti Enterprises, will set up 100 village primary schools across Punjab. It aims to make available high-quality education to poor children, out-of-school children, migrant children and especially the girl child. Eight Satya Bharti primary schools and 21 community centres are already operational in Punjab with more than 1,200 children and over 100 teachers.

Other courses offered by the institute include the six-month non-linear editing course (10+2), bachelor in journalism (one year), PG diploma in TV journalism (one year), news reading and reporting (six months). The last date for submission of applications is May 5.

UEI Global School of Service Management, Berggruen Education Pvt Ltd, has tied up with Delhi University and will flag a specially designed programme on Hospitality Persona Lifestyle Programme through the School of Open Learning. The programmes duration is three months with 90-minute sessions thrice a week. To ensure and facilitate maximum one-to-one interaction between faculty and students, the batch strength would be restricted to a maximum of 30 students.

UEI-Global School will organise its All India Common Entrance Examination (CEE) on May 18 .for the three-year degree programme in hospitality management. Its affiliations include Bharathiar University, The Hotelschool, The Hague, Birmingham Universityand City College of Norwich. The last date for submission of applications is May 12.

School quiz in Guinness Book

T.I.M.E. conducted Aqua Regia, the biggest inter school science quiz in India. The competition has entered the Guinness Book of World Records as the biggest quiz in the world. Open to students of Classes VIII to X, Aqua Regia was held in over 25 cities. Mumbai’s S. S. S. Singhania School won the national finals. New Greenfield, Saket, New Delhi, was the first runner-up and Little Flower High School, Hyderabad, was the second runner-up.

Tata essay competition kicked off in Delhi

The second edition of the ‘Tata Building India’ essay competition started with Modern Convent School, Sector IV Dwar-ka, New Delhi. The Tata Group is organising the essay competition amongst 450 schools in 12 cities, namely Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Bangalore, Jamshedpur, Darjeeling, Chandigarh, Indore, Hyderabad, Pune and Ahmedabad.

Dubai-based entrepreneur to help educate Indian kids

A Dubai-based entrepreneur has supported an initiative meant to provide basic education to 100 million children in India. Sunny Varkey, Chairman and Founder of GEMS Education, which runs an expanding network of 75 international schools worldwide, was the lead sponsor of Pratham Gala, a charity dinner hosted in London on September 28 to garner funds for the Read India initiative. A Mumbai NGO, Pratham, launched Read India to improve the lives of disadvantaged children.

TCS Delhi to host nationwide IT quiz

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), will kick of the 2007 edition of TCS IT Wiz, its interschool IT Quiz in Delhi on November 15, 2007. The event will be held in Delhi for the second consecutive year, with participation from 11 visiting cities. The nation wide event is expected to reach out to more than 12,000 students across the country.

Winners will walk away with laptops and the runners up will be rewarded iPods. The six finalists will also receive gift ham pers from TCS and watches from Titan.

Through the quiz TCS strives to enhance IT awareness among students, keeping them abreast of the latest developments in the world of IT. The Delhi edition will be held on at Siri Fort Auditorium. It is open to school students studying from Class VIII to XII. Only the first 500 registered teams will be allowed to participate.

The Jack Kilby Science and Technology Quiz, aimed at nurturing India’s future generations through the spirit of inquiry and innovation, is being organised for the fifth time. The quiz, named after Nobel Laureate Jack Kilby, is an annual national event for high school students of classed Vlll-X, with over 1,200 schools participating last year. Of the 16 winners emerging from a preliminary round,one regional winner is selected, who then goes on to the finals. Special prizes are also on offer for the best all-girls team.The finals will be held in Bangalore on November 11.The regional rounds will take place in Chennai on October 26 and in Delhi on October 31.

Prior to the fair, the school also organised expert presentations by participant universities, which covered topics such as Writing the Essay for US Universities, Mock Admissions, % Recommendation Writing for Teachers and Counsellors, and so on. Students, parents and teachers attended the sessions.
